What is CarerNet?

At FCA, we’ve developed a system called CarerNet to keep our carers updated and in contact with us at all times. It’s a secure online environment for our foster carers to access the vital information they need.

CarerNet serves as an online portal for our foster carers. As one centralised point of information and communication, it’s a place where our carers can share advice, links and stories, and access the Foster Carer Handbook, as well as any other relevant information supplied by FCA.

What can CarerNet do for you?

As well as providing information and communication services, CarerNet also provides links to FosterTalk, a comprehensive support service for foster carers. Through FosterTalk, FCA carers can access exclusive discounts on shopping, finance and days out. You can also receive high quality support for your legal and financial needs, and much more!

Our carers can also access our new, innovative tool, Key Developmental Assets (KDA). KDA is a unique recording system for foster carers to track the positive changes they make to the lives of the looked after children and young people in their care.

How to access CarerNet

When you’re approved as a carer with FCA, you’ll receive an induction pack full of all the information you need. This will include your login details for all our online services, including CarerNet. So when you’re officially a foster carer, you’ll automatically gain access to all the facilities you need.

If you’re already a foster carer and you’re not sure what your login details are, or if you don’t think you have access, please contact your local FCA office. They should also be able to put you in contact with someone who can set you up and solve any problems you have logging in.

So start sharing! Access CarerNet today for all the information you need, right at your fingertips.
